Construction & Closure Update 08-30-2016

The erection of the bridge structural steel continues. This operation should last into the third week of September. The installation of the piles for the east retaining wall will be on hold until the structural steel has been erected and the train traffic switched back to its original alignment. Meanwhile the footings for the east retaining wall continues to be formed and poured with the retaining wall panels to follow. The precast pump station house continues to be detailed. The electrical and mechanical components of the pump station continue to be installed.

Closure Update
The road closure will be rescheduled for one week later.

Washington Street will be closed between Haryan Way and Lake Street for railroad track work starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16th and will reopen by 5:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19th.  This closure will allow the railroad track to be raised and the temporary grade crossing and roadway approaches to be built.  Please follow the detour route below.
